es De La Vida, Y Aciones De Alexandro El Grande, por Quinto Curcio Rufo, sobrevive en 123 códices, o manuscritos encuadernados, todos procedentes de un texto original escrito en la segunda mitad del siglo IX, que fue copiado durante el Renacimiento carolingio en la región del Loira. Algunas secciones de la obra que quedan son más parciales que otras, con lagunas que se desarrollaron desde el siglo IX. El texto original contenía diez libros, equivalentes a nuestros 10 capítulos. El libro I y II han quedado ausentes, junto con cualquier introducción de texto que podría haberse esperado según las antiguas costumbres de los autores, como se ve en obras similares. Hay lagunas en V, VI y X. Muchos lugares son oscuros, sujetos a interpretación en nombre de la restauración. Esta edición de 1749 fue traducida del latín al español por Don Matheo Ibárez de Segovia y Orellana. Esta traducción puso la obra a disposición de los hispanohablantes de la Península Ibérica y el Mediterráneo en el siglo XVIII. El libro está encuadernado con una cubierta de piel de oveja que se encuentra en estado de deterioro, pero dada la rara impresión en color de este libro y su antigüedad, se considera que está en excelentes condiciones. Las imágenes de bloques de madera se alinean en las páginas finales de muchos capítulos y secciones.

en The Life and Times of Alexander the Great, by Quinto Curcio Rufo, survives in 123 codices, or bound manuscripts, all originating from one original text written in the second half of the 9th century, which was copied during the Carolingian Renaissance in the Loire region. Some sections of the work which remain are more partial than others, with lacunae that developed since the 9th century. The original text contained ten books, equivalent to our 10 chapters. Book I and II have remained missing, along with any text introduction that might have been expected according to ancient customs of authors, as seen in similar works. There are gaps in V, VI, and X. Many places throughout are obscure, subject to interpretation in the name of restoration. This 1749 edition was translated from Latin to Spanish by Don Matheo Ibarez de Segovia y Orellana. This translation made the work available to the Spanish speakers of the Iberian Peninsula and the Mediterranean in the 18th century. The book is bound in a sheep’s skin cover that is in deteriorating condition but given the rare color printing of this book and its old age, it is considered to be in great condition. Wood block images line the ending pages of many chapters and sections.
