About the Creators

Abigail Hanson

Abigail is a Senior Global History major from Richmond, Virginia. On campus, she serves as the Director of Richmond Fundraising for Mock Convention, Director of Leadership for Pi Beta Phi and is a member of the Equestrian Team. She became interested in Contact Committee after learning there was a rich archival record that had yet to be digitized and was drawn in even further upon reading the sources. Institutional archives in a way serve as a record of gossip, and there is no better gossip than that surrounding Contact’s many controversies. When she is not reading historical gossip Abigail enjoys listening to the variety of speakers that come to campus. Her favorite Contact speaker has been Hank Green.

Evan Cecchini

Evan is a junior studying American Politics and Business Administration at Washington & Lee Unversity. Currently residing in Lewisburg, PA, he has lived all across the United States. On campus, Evan serves as President of the Interfraternity Council, the Opinion Editor for the W&L Spectator, and the Philanthropy Chair for the Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity. Upon graduation, he hopes to pursue a career in political consulting in the Washington D.C. area. In his free time, he enjoys weightlifting, fast cars, traveling around the globe, and crime films. Most importantly, he is a Boston sports fan.
